Some of you may be eligible to get an appointment at your local pharmacy for shots, starting Monday.  Please share this information widely, particularly with those friends and family over 70 who may not use social media. Getting a vaccine is the quickest way for us to protect our families, get everyone back to work, and get our economy open. 

BATON ROUGE, La. — During the Second Special Session of 2020, Senator Hewitt authored Senate Concurrent Resolution (SCR13) to recognize Mr. Eugene Lussan as one of Louisiana's finest sons, with a special commendation measure for his achievements as a veteran and in celebration of his one-hundredth birthday.

Michoud has a legacy of service, manufacturing vehicles that moved the nation forward. From the C-76 cargo planes during World War II and engines for the M4 Sherman and M46 Patton tanks during the Korean War, to the Saturn V Rocket in the 1960s and NASA’s Space Shuttle, Louisiana’s Michoud Assembly Facility has played a critical role in history.

Today, Chris Masingill, St. Tammany Corporation CEO, is pleased to announce an award was presented by the St. Tammany Parish Development District at its September Board of Commissioners meeting to Senator Sharon Hewitt honoring her as a St. Tammany Champion of Economic Development. The award recognizes her service to St. Tammany Parish during the 2020 First Extraordinary Legislative Session and the 2020 Regular Session.
